Marblehead Little Theatre is holding auditions Wednesday, August 18 and Thursday, August 19 from 6 to 8 p.m. with callbacks from 8 to 10 p.m. for ALMOST, MAINE, a highly acclaimed production that appeared off-Broadway in 2005 and continues to receive honors from coast to coast. Brianne Beatrice, who most recently directed Italian-American Reconciliation for MLT, will direct.
On a cold, clear, winter night, the northern lights hover over the remote town of Almost, Maine. All is not quite what it seems as the town's residents find themselves falling in and out of love in hilariously unexpected, and often unusual ways. This enchanting midwinter night's dream touches audiences with laughter, heartbreak and hope.
Four roles will be cast – two men and two women in their mid to late 20s/early 30s (non AEA). Please prepare a one-minute contemporary monologue (comic/serio-comic) and bring a headshot/resume.
Performances: 12 School Street, Marblehead,MA on October 8-10 and October 15-16.
