Description: YAP Group - Improv Comedy Practice Troupe
YAP is a group of novice to intermediate improv players who practice on Sundays at MIT (unofficial center of improv for Boston).
PARTICIPANTS: Players with a basic understanding of improv and/or acting experience.
DATE AND TIME: Every Sunday from 4:00 PM to 6 PM.
LOCATION: MIT, 50 Vassar Street
PURPOSE: To get some extra practice time for sharpening improv skills.
DIRECTOR: Joy Begbie directs the practice sessions. She is a graduate of Improv Asylum’s Training Center and has performed with various improv troupes
FORMAT: We concentrate primarily on scenework, but can practice on any improv area. Our goal is to help improvisers get to a point where they feel they are performance-ready.
