Call for Production Team: Detail

Description:
Seeking experienced COSTUMER/HEAD DRAPER-CUTTER to run costume shop in conjunction with Costume Designer.

Strong skills necessary in interpreting Costume Designer's renderings, patterning or draping, cutting, fitting, proficiency in period costuming, and ability to operate home and industrial sewing machinery. Supervise 3 professional + student stitchers in producing costumes of a high professional standard.

Background in craft work desirable.

This is a FREELANCE, SALARIED position for 2 Main Stage productions.

Will consider contract for one production, if not available to work on both shows.

Contract dates:

FALL: Thurs., Oct 11,2012 through Thurs., Nov 15, 2012.

SPRING: Dates being considered are - Thurs.,Feb.28, 2013 through Thurs., April 11, 2013 OR Thurs.,March 14,2013 through April 25, 2013

Degree not needed, but experience in professional costume shop preferred.

We are a low pressure, upbeat shop with a COMPETITIVE SALARY. The shop is in operation Monday through Friday from 10am to 6 pm.

The College is conveniently located in N. Easton, south of Boston ( approx. 20 min.)and Providence.

Car necessary for your own transportation.

Housing is not available, but we can assist in finding low cost housing through faculty members.
