Call for Production Team: Detail

Description:
Seeking an experienced Sound Designer for the 2013 Summer Season.

Duties include: Operating an overseeing the microphone usage for all shows. Designing the sound-scape, sound effects, and background music necessary for all shows. The installation and upkeep of the equipment during the production run.

Other responsibilities include but are not limited to: create a microphone plot with the Musical Director, Director and SM, rent/coordinate microphone usage, run the sound board for all tech rehearsals and performances or train someone to do so, re-patch the board with the supervision of the Regis TD, purchase microphone batteries, run sound check before each show (if you are operating the board), conduct a workshop on Sound Design for the Tech Program.

Qualifications: Must be organized, self-sufficient, and work well with others. Applicants must have previous sound design experience in a theatrical setting. Must be able to work well in a collaborative setting.

Rehearsals begin mid-June. Performances run for the last two weeks in July.
